Jan Macháček aka Ancestral Vision is a Prague-based producer, sound artist, DJ and co-founder of Unizone label and radio show. His productions are full of experimental sound design that fills the gaps between earworm-ish melodies and contemporary club echoes. Compositions written by Ancestral Vision are often both epic and intimate, serving as a personal diary of his sound research practice and studio jams.
His productions are affiliated with labels like Club Late Music, Oramics, Katharsis, Unizone, 77silverline, Destitute or Amphibian Records. As a DJ, he is known for colourful, mood-shifting and eclectic DJ sets, that accompanied live performances of artists like Sega Bodega, Max Dahlhaus, WULFFLUW XCIV or Kablam.
Sidecar Dream Session, his debut EP, is out on February 23, 2024 via Leeds-based label LOFS.
